Inspiration

Teresa,

What can I say, other than... you have inspired me!

I won't admit to being this long time fan and knowing every bit of your career. I don't watch too much television, yet manage to turn on the morning news & watch your wonderful sarcastic ways on Good Day NY, before I run off to work (of course, always late since I get tied into watching more of the show - thank you for the morning laughs!).

After not seeing Lyn & Chris on the air this morning, I wondered if they pulled another Dave Price disappearing act, so I went on to the website to check it out. Glad to hear they're still on, but I found out more than expected.

I read your bio which led me to your website. I started with the personal stuff (of course), and was intrigued when people mentioned your writing and how they can relate to you. At that point, the search was on for T-Strass's writing (which, thanks for making it easy - I didn't have to go far).

All I had to do was read Having Your Cheesecake and Eating It Too - and I was hooked! Not only was I able to relate to you, and not because I've moved around... I'm a home grown NY'er (yep... Brooklyn girl). You keep it real & let your mind flow out - and I love it! I'm not a big time writer, but I dabble here and there - the occasional poem (usually when down in the dumps... mainly having to do w/ the most recent guy).

Of course, I've started many many novels-to-be, movie scripts, etc, but never followed through with them. I was sucked in to the finance world at a young age. I seek escape through writing, but alas am sucked back in everytime there's a work deadline...so there went yet another poem, scipt, novel, thought, feeling...

Anyway, I used to work in the World Trade Center, where did most of my writing... be it by the water, watching the boats come in, or by the fountain watching the latest act on the Summer stage. I haven't united the pen & paper since that stage was taken away, and was never truly able to explain it.

Perhaps I never will be able to explain it, but I finally picked that pen up (ok, so it's a keyboard & email - sue me!), and started writing again, beginning with this email. So, after plenty of babbling on this email, all I meant to say is THANK YOU... for waking up something inside of me that has been asleep for three years.

Keep doing what your doing - keep inspiring and relating, keep laughing & making people laugh. Good luck in NYC & in life...although I'm sure you don't need luck in either!

Christina
