'Out' host Strasser: I want some TLC
by Michael Starr
Teresa Strasser spends lots of time redecorating other people's places as the host of TLC's
"While You Were Out" - but her schedule doesn't allow much in terms of a social life.
"It's kind of like being a rock star only without all the money, fame and chicks," she tells
the launch issue of American Magazine. "Dating is difficult. Unless I fall madly in love with
the guy who brings room service, I don't come into contact with many guys other than Andrew
[the show's carpenter] and the crew.
"When I have a date, it's hard to keep the momentum going," Strasser says. "As in, 'That was
great. I have to go to Irving, Texas tomorrow. I'll call you in two weeks when I get home.
Please don't date anyone else until I get back."
The July/August launch issue of American Magazine will be available June 24 in Wal-Mart,
Barnes & Noble and elsewhere.
